Francine Houben and Friso van der Steen are among a panel of experts that will discuss technical innovations in architecture at a symposium hosted by the Society of Arts; part of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) on 28th of October 2014.
What are the engineers’ answers to architects’ requests for innovative technologies? What have been the experiences with technical innovations in free-form architecture? What are the results of innovations in architecture? The aim of the symposium is to bring scientists, engineers, architects and artists together.
Other guests include: Mick Eekhout, KNAW member and director Octatube; Caroline Hummels, Faculty of Industrial Design, Eindhoven University of Technology and Bernard Hulsman, architecture critic and editor at NRC.
