Mecanoo have been named as the winner in the 'Architecture - Cultural' category at the first edition of the 'Architizer A+Firm Awards' and have also been named as finalist on both 'Institutional' and 'Best in Europe' categories. We proudly accept this acknowledgement, which gives Mecanoo recognition as a practice with an incredible record on cultural commissions. The National Kaohsiung Centre for the Arts, Longgang Cultural Centre and the Kaap Skil, Maritime and Beachcombers Museum were among the projects submitted.

More than 400 firms — hailing from 50 countries across 6 continents — submitted their portfolio for consideration. After a meticulous review by an influential jury of creative thought leaders, 31 firms came out on top, providing a diverse picture of the talented teams helping to conceptualize, design and deliver the world’s best architecture.
