Arne Lijbers guest speaker at LEAF International 2022

Arne Lijbers, Partner/Architect at Mecanoo, will be one of the speakers at the LEAF International 2022, October 12^th at 2:40pm, in the Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport. Arne, joins the discussion panel focused on exploring the opportunities and challenges of low or zero carbon buildings.

LEAF 2022 will focus on forward-thinking strategies to deliver on net zero targets and explore how technology, digitalisation and the coronavirus pandemic are transforming the built environment across the entire supply chain. The agenda will look at sustainable architecture design strategies that reduce the negative environmental impact from future built environment projects and assessing sustainable performance.

With 40% of global carbon emission caused by the built environment, what challenges is the construction sector facing with setting the pathway to net-zero? How to achieve a sustainable building from design to demolition? Is upcycling building materials is still a great challenge?
