Dijkendag Event in Rotterdam to Explore Adaptive Reuse of Dike Infrastructure

We are excited to share that on 26th September, Mecanoo, in collaboration with Gemeente Rotterdam, NPRZ, Woonstad Rotterdam, and others, will be hosting a "Dijkendag" event as part of the wider Placemaking Week Europe programme, taking place in Rotterdam next week. The event will focus on the potential for adaptive reuse and transformation of the existing dike infrastructure and surrounding areas in Rotterdam South.

The Dijkendag programme includes an open exhibition, outdoor learning and play areas, and lectures and discussions from 15:00 to 16:30 by guest speakers Marco Pastors, Francine Houben, Miriam Hoekstra van der Deen, Bas Jonkman, and Anne Mollema.

This event is free, with doors opening at 14:30 at Dokhuis, Doklaan 10.
